Dog-Friendly Beaches

There’s nothing better than watching a dog romp amongst the ocean waves and dig in beach sand. We have ensured that you have a full list of dog-friendly beaches at your fingertips. South Africa is very accommodating of animals on beaches, and most beaches across the country allow dogs. It is always good to make sure your dogs are allowed on the beach beforehand.

Obviously, there are some regulations to follow to ensure you and your four-legged buddy have the best beach day. If your dog is prone to sunburn, make sure you have applied the appropriate skin protection prior and during your beach visit. If it is too hot, rather leave the day at the beach for another time. It is also important to always have fresh, cool water available for your dog. 

Most beaches are off-lead, so only take your buddy if he or she is sociable and friendly. As always, carry a doggie poop-bag to clean up after your dog.
