Brighton Beach is next door to the Bluff and just south of Durban Beachfront. Although it is within shouting distance of the city, it forms part of the Bluff Nature Reserve, so is a great spot for bird watching and nature walks. Brighton Beach is bordered by thick coastal vegetation and lush wetlands; keep an eye out for monkeys and mongoose. Brighton Beach is just the place for you and your furry friends, especially those pups that love their independence, as this is an off-lead dog-friendly beach. As this is also a popular fishing spot, keep an eye out for any fish hooks or gut lines that may have been left behind and that may injure your dog.
