Camps Bay Beach

Camps Bay is a popular tourist destination situated in Cape Town, only 15 minutes from the city centre. Perfect for social butterflies, if you and your pup are keen on some socialising, head on down to Camps Bay Beach. Situated along the coast of the Atlantic Seaboard with views of Lion’s Head and the Twelve Apostles, Camps Bay is a hot-spot for stylish coffee bars, restaurants, and various other tourist attractions. One of the most popular destinations in the Cape, Camps Bay also has a lovely beachfront boulevard that attracts the hip and trendy. Luckily, this beachfront is also a dog-friendly, within certain parameters. Camps Bay Beach is one of the country’s Blue Flag beaches, so there are quite specific rules regarding dogs on the beach. Also, this can be a very busy spot, so keep this in mind when planning a walk along this beach. Have a look here before you plan your trip to the beach:

  • Dogs are only allowed off-lead on the beach before 09:00 and after 18:00 between March and October.
  • No dogs allowed in the tidal pool.
  • No dogs allowed in Blue Flag areas.
