Cintsa East Beach

Looking for a dog-friendly beach with spectacular views along the Wild Coast? Head straight on over to Cintsa East Beach. The tiny seaside town of Cintsa in the Eastern Cape straddles the Cintsa River. With its name taken from the Xhosa word for ‘crumbling banks’ the river bisects Cintsa town into two smaller villages, Cintsa East and Cintsa West. The villages can be found hidden amongst the coastal dunes and forests on the edge of South Africa’s unspoiled Wild Coast. The town of Cintsa is perhaps one of the most pristine coastal villages in the country. Cintsa East sits alongside the northern shore of the Cintsa River and offers kilometres of tranquil beach. The beach is dog-friendly, and during peak season, one can find dozens of dogs enjoying the sea air. For safety reasons, many people prefer to keep their dogs on leads – your social butterfly may not be everyone’s cup of tea! For peace, tranquillity, salty spray, fresh air, and a perfect place for your dog to romp and splash, take a stroll down to Cintsa East Beach.
