Durban and Umhlanga Promenades

Durban is famous for its beautiful beach-front promenade, popular with walkers, cyclists, and runners. Even better is that it is dog-friendly! Always keep your dog on a lead, as the promenade can get very busy.  The famous Durban beachfront is more than six kilometres of seaside restaurants and shops, bordered by an expansive promenade popular with locals and tourists. The best of all is that Durban is well-known as a dog-friendly city! Taking a leisurely stroll along the promenade, you will notice a number of dog-friendly restaurants and coffee shops. Expect to treat your furry friend to treats such as ‘puppacinos’, peanut butter pup biscuits, and ‘woof waffles’. You will need to keep your four-legged bestie on a lead, as the walkway can get very busy, and always remember to pack your doggie clean-up bags. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the beach, but rest assured, the beautiful beachfront promenade will give your pup more than enough exercise and interesting places to smell.
