Glen Beach

An absolutely beautiful and scenic beach, Glen Beach is found just north of Camps Bay in the city of Cape Town. Popular with sun-tanners and surfers, Glen Beach is also great for dog-walkers, as this beach is dog-friendly too. Glen Beach is flanked by two huge granite boulders that protect the cove from strong winds, making it perfect for a picnic, suntan, or gentle stroll along the beach. One of the most popular beaches in Cape Town, locals spend time out of season on Glen Beach with their dogs to enjoy socialising with other dog-walkers. As per the official rules from the City of Cape Town, dogs are only allowed on Glen Beach before 09:00 in the morning and after 18:00 in the evening between the months of April and October, but best of all, they are allowed off-lead. So, if you’re an early-bird or enjoy and after-work stroll with your pup, Glen Beach is the place for you.
