Gordon’s Bay is host to Main Beach and Bikini Beach. Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed on either of these beaches but head on over to the northern corner of the parking at Gordon’s Bay to let your dog run free. Gordon’s Bay is a vibrant little coastal town around forty minutes north of Cape Town. Known as a harbour town, there is an old harbour as well as a yacht marina, adjacent to the South African Naval College. There are two beaches within Gordon’s Bay, which is located in the northeast corner of False Bay, namely Bikini Beach and Main Beach. Bikini Beach is a popular swimming beach sheltered by the bay. It is also a Blue Flag Beach, one of four along the False Bay coastline. Because Bikini Beach is environmentally conserved, no dogs are allowed on this beach. In addition, Gordon’s Bay Main Beach is off limits to dogs too. However, dogs are allowed off-lead from the northern corner of the parking lot at Gordon’s Bay Beach to the Fleur Park boundary.
