Sea Point beaches

There are a number of sandy coves that can be accessed from Sea Point in Cape Town. This beautiful and affluent coastal suburb runs along the Cape’s Atlantic seaboard and is popular with dog-walkers, sunbathers, and picnickers. Situated between Signal Hill and the Atlantic seaboard, Sea Point hosts a coastal promenade that meanders into Moiulle Point and through Green Point. Located only five kilometres Cape Town city centre, Sea Point is a bustling tourist attraction. Follow the promenade and find many open spaces along the way that are perfect to let your pooch run free. Various beaches near Sea Point are most definitely dog-friendly. In fact, City of Cape Town recognises that dogs can run free at Sunset Beach and Mouille Point Beach (also known as Granger Beach) at any time. If strolling along the promenade, it is best to keep your pup on a lead. Always remember to bring your doggy bag to pick up on mess your dog leaves behind. There are a number of disposal bins along the way for your dog bags and if you’re lucky, you’ll find doggie bags attached to poles too.
